This, the third generation PILOT, was designed specifically for Hinckley to be built of fiberglass. \nA previous Pilot (S&S design #1219) was first built of wood in 1956.\nAvailable as sloop or yawl (12).\nAbout a dozen boats to this design were also built, under license, in South America for the Chilean Navy.\nThe 'custom' version is shown in the drawing with a raised 'dog house'.
