Fisksätra Shipyard

Active: 1919 – 1979

Fisksätra shipyard was a Swedish family-owned boatyard in Fisksätra in Nacka municipality, which was founded in 1919 by Axel Larsson (died 1966). It was run from 1948 by his son, the boat designer Torild Larsson.\r\n\r\nIn the early 1960s, the company had to expand outside the site in Fisksätra and in 1966 rebuilt a former carpentry factory in Hövik by Lake Bunn near Gränna. In 1968, the closed Västervik's match factory's premises in Västervik were taken over and became Fisksätra shipyard's main factory under the name Fisksätra products.\r\n\r\nIn 1976, the majority of shares in the company were sold to Gyllingföretagen. In 1979, Fisksätra Varv AB went bankrupt.
