Notes: Aft cockpit version of the earlier CHALLENGER ANACAPA 40/42. The first hull was layed up by John Leeper of San Pedro Boat Works (Anacapa Boat Co.?). A short time later, San Pedro Boat Works closed and the molds ended up in the hands of Challenger Yachts although it does not appear they built any aft cockpit models. In 1972, Garry Powell (Acapulco Yachts) ordered a set of parts to make his Acapulco 40 "Oriana.". He then bought the molds and built at least 30 in Oregon through the 70's.\nThanks to Derek JEAN for updated historical information.
